Art Mama Moves, Baby!
Head Mama Crystal Jaudon, proposed a long-running virtual art show, even then unaware of how long until we would have an in-person art show( we thought maybe August 2020?) The idea solidified into “100 MONDAZE”, and the first date was set for April 20th, 2020.
But what to post for the show? It would change each week, with musicians and artists sharing a home video. I spent 4 days on source video, 3 days crash-course learning editing, and create my first solo video:
Shortly after starting to teach myself video editing (and the lock-down haze continued), I was offered a new job! 40+hr weeks out of the house making $$$… Which really cut into my video editing time, and slowed the output of my 100Mondaze contributions. I’ve created 5 episodes as of July 13th (13/100)
Still I continue to capture video, slap it together, and hopefully get better with each attempt.
With these tools, plus: a mask, and my loud mouth… I make “SOMETHING”.
2020 is a year of great change from hell, (I’ll be honest there have been more then a dozen things this year that brought nausea, headache, and outright horror. What is this crazy reality and how do we stop the flood?! ) But the rest of our lives doesn’t have to be the same. We can make the change. We will make the change.
Like taking on a new task, but this one has been carried on backs for hundreds of years… We forgive ourselves each stumble, stand back up, and march on-wards to a hopeful and better future.
I hope you will do some good in the world, too! However little or often (but, like, lots… all the time)
